Block collection

I joined a group were we give her the total number of blocks that we have made during that month on the last of the month.  For the month of January I made 210 blocks.  I turned in my block number, but I didn't tell what I made them for.  Most of the blocks were for my batik quilt.  It is a over size king quilt.  The other quilts where for my Valentine's quilt.  I thought I would get a couple quilts put together with this number, but I only got 1 quilt completed.
For the month of February I put together another 135 square.  These blocks are from my leader ender project.  I just have a stack of squares that I want to put together for project that I want to do down the road.  They have no set project for now.
So that you can find out more about the 350 Project you can go to her website at http://prairiemoonquilts.com/?p=2475 .  I love keeping track of what I do, because I can see that I have accomplished things.  Now I need to get my quilts put together.  The more I get done the better I feel.

Happy Valentine's!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!  This was the day my parents decided to get married 45 years ago.  Love is so important for a relationship.  You must keep that love strong between each other.  My husband and I have been married for 23 years.  We are best friends.  I don't know where I would be without him.  He is the most wonderful person out there.  He works really hard for our family.
This morning I just I had a really bad dream and began screaming.  This dream was very scary.  He was up getting ready for work.  I could hear him coming down the hall in a hurry in my dream, but I just thought that was part of it.  The next thing I know he is sitting by my side asking if I'm ok.  Holding me.  I started to cry.  I told him what it was.  He just held me and said "It was just a dream.  It's ok."  I laid back down and tried to go back to sleep (with no luck).  He came back in before he left and asked if I was ok.  This is just how he is.  He showed me he truly loves me!  I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for all that he does for me and our family.

2 Customer Quilts - Sharon's and Debbie's

A couple of weeks ago I had a friend come over to learn what long-arm quilting was all about.  She has always hand quilted.  She does beautiful work and has won several awards for them.  She brought over a hopscotch quilt that she made for her granddaughter.  With all the jumping around on the quilt, she felt that the blocks need to be little bit stronger.  I showed her everything from loading to how to quilt.  By the end of the quilt, she was quilting her own quilt.  She did a great job.  We ditch stitched the blocks.  Here is her finished quilt.

The other customer quilt I did that week was a Valentine's quilt.  I ditch stitch the blocks.  Then put lines in different directions in the hearts 1 inch apart.  It went really fast.  I enjoyed doing this quilt.  Here is a picture of that quilt.

Feburary Goals

I have to many projects that need to be finished. Which one to pick? I think I will finish my Valentine quilt.

I have the top completely finished.  I was amazed at how fast the quilt came together.  I really like this pattern.  They way that this pattern was written was not the best way.  I think I will rewrite it.  But that will help make it my own.  I posted the top on Facebook when I had it finished and several people loved it.  Many people want to see it when I have it finished.  I will hopefully get it quilted next week.  Here is a picture of the top.
